FAQ's

QUESTION:  How long do events usually last?

ANSWER:  The events from the second the starting horn blows until reaching the finish line should take approximately 90 minutes.  However, we ask that teams gather at the starting line 30 minutes prior to the start of the game to fill out paperwork, gather, and to be read the rules. 

 

QUESTION:  How many people are on each team?

ANSWER:  We ask that you form teams of 6 but it is possible to play as a team of 4 or 5.

 

QUESTION:  What is the role as the event’s organizer?

ANSWER:  All we require is that the initial email coming from you to your friends and contacts for people to save the date.  We will provide you with the email to send and you are free to tweak it as needed.  We will be cc’d on the RSVPs by teams and we will take over the communications from there.

 

QUESTION:  Can you please explain Team / Color assignments?

ANSWER:  As each team RSVPs to that event, they will chose a color on a first come, first serve basis.  They are required to wear that color for the night of the event.  We recommend to get into the spirit of the event - think camp color war!  

 

QUESTION:  How do you pay?

ANSWER:  At the starting line, each team will pay cash.  There is a set fee to play the game and the organizer will determine how much to contribute to the prize pool.

 

QUESTION:  How long in advance do you need to book an event?

ANSWER:  We require an 8 week minimum.  However, the more advance you book, the more open the calendars are of your friends to play.

 

QUESTION:  Are the game’s routes the same for each team?

ANSWER:  Yes.  Each team will receive clues in the same order as other teams; however, people may drive via different routes to reach that clue.

 

QUESTION:  What are the minimum number of players needed to play to participate in the event?

ANSWER:  We require that at least 24 players play the game.

 

QUESTION:  Are there any requirements to play in this game?

ANSWER:  One of the participants must be old enough to drive and everyone in each car must sign a waiver form in case of injury or accident.

 

QUESTION:  How do you play the game?

ANSWER:  Rules will be distributed one week prior to the start of the event.  The rules will also be reviewed at the starting line.

 

QUESTION:  What do you need to play the game?

ANSWER:  A car, a cell phone w/ GPS Technology and email capabilities, a pen, and writing pad.  Also recommended, but not necessary would be a selfie stick.

 

QUESTION:  What happens if a team is stumped on a clue?

ANSWER:  If a team can’t figure out a clue, they have the option of taking a 10 minute penalty.  This penalty is assessed at the finish line before receiving the end-of-game puzzle.

 

QUESTION:  How does the game end?

ANSWER:  Depending on the number of teams, there is a First, Second or sometimes Third place awarded.  As teams solve the final clue and arrive at the finish line, they will receive a puzzle.  The first team to solve the puzzle wins.
